Renaissance Springs Ranch exists to provide a safe, positive, and loving environment for youth and to help them find hope and encouragement through relationships with horses, people, and most importantly Christ.

2023 Update Video

Originally from Nebraska, Scott moved to Colorado, then Arizona when he was still young. Later, while in Arizona, he met and married his beautiful bride, Laura. His love for horses came about because of his wife’s passion for these amazing creatures. Scott is excited about reaching out to the youth in Idaho Falls and sharing his love for the Lord with those around him.

Originally from Michigan, Laura fell in love with horses when she was a little girl. She began riding when she was 8 years old and owned her first horse, Renaissance Springs, when she was 16 after she moved to Arizona. She gave her life to the Lord not long after moving there and later met and married her husband, Scott. Laura loves to teach others about her passion for the Lord and for horses.

The ranch got its name from Laura’s first horse, Renaissance Springs. Ren’s legacy lives on at the ranch. He saved Laura as a teenager and gave her hope and something to look forward to. She was able, in some ways, to help him find the joy in people and riding again by finding what he loved to do – jump! Helping youth to find hope and encouragement through relationships with horses, people, and most importantly, Christ, is what we here at RSR hope to facilitate.

Following the Lord’s leading, Scott & Laura started Renaissance Springs Ranch in 2014 after moving to Montrose, Colorado from Arizona.

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
